Description of Job: 
The Human Resource Assistant is responsible to assist the Human Resource Manager give overall management to the Human Resource department of the organization. This includes ensuring that Samaritan’s Purse – Liberia is within all Ministry of Labour guidelines, and ensuring that the organization is meeting all HR demands by the Ministry. Within the organization, the HR officer is to ensure that staff issues, such as salary, contracts, benefits, grievances are managed in a professional manner.
Main Responsibilities • Recruitment and selection of staff, including: - assisting in drawing up relevant job descriptions and advertisements - placing advertisements in publications - receiving and coordinating applications for all vacancies - helping to compile initial short-list of candidates for interview - organising and coordinating interview dates, times and locations - helping to interview and select candidates in conjunction with the hiring manager - conducting reference checks • Issue and manage contracts and remind managers of probation deadlines for all staff • Set up, maintain and manage employee files and keeping the employee database up to date • Organise and deliver induction training for new staff, ensuring all necessary information and forms are filled out by new employees • Track holiday and sickness records • Liaise with Ministry of Labour with regards to Administration of Employee contracts • Liaise with Finance with payroll details • In conjunction with the HR Manager, provide relevant HR information, advice and guidance to staff as necessary and interpreting policy and procedures for staff • Assist with updating the Employee Handbook as necessary • Keep up to date with employment legislation in Liberia and SP policies • Assist the HR Manager in briefing employees and management on any new legislation and/or SP Policies • Help to organise staff training as necessary • Other duties as assigned by the HR Manager. Qualification:  Advance Diploma in Administration  Experience in HR or administration  Computer knowledge (Excel Micro soft word and PowerPoint)  Good communication skill and Sense of confidentiality  Must apply a good working relationship at all time  Must be committed to Samaritan’s Purse Core Value.
