Description of Job: 
In conjunction with the Assistant Country Director-System, to oversee and ensure effective operation of the IT department. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals. Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services. Work with the regional IT Manager to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts. Keep current with the latest technologies. Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio. Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment. Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’ department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities Essential Requirements: Relevant degree from a recognized University in the field of computer science and at least 3 years related work experience. Experience in MCP or MCSA is a Plus. Knowledge in SQL and Server Administrator for Windows Server 2008 Knowledge in CCNA. Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems. Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards. Extensive application support experience. Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development. Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices. Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures. Strong understanding of project management principles.
