General Assignment To establish and manage a nutrition and health programme taking into account the Emergency Ebola context and all the factors involved.
Qualification and Experience Bachelor’s degree preferably in science/health related field; medical diploma would be an asset Experience in nutrition (TFC, OTP, SFP screening teams) essential Good understanding of the underlying causes of malnutrition and the linkages with other sectors Sensitivity to psychosocial aspects of the causes and treatment of malnutrition Experience in facilitation of trainings/capacity building as well as monitoring and supervision of programmes Capacity of analysis, programme design and adaptation Knowledge and experience with the full project cycle Capacity to work autonomously Rigor at work High level of written English Experience in team supervision and management Capacity to manage stress linked to Ebola outbreak and precaution requirements Strong sense of confidentiality, able to monitor and report activities Very good computer skills Mission 1: Establish and supervise activities in the framework of nutritional projects The Nutrition and Health Programme Manager is responsible for :  Management of the project cycle in nutrition and health  Meeting the objectives of ACF in the centres dealing with malnutrition  The quality of the programme for which he/she is responsible Mission 2: Organise staff development programmes for the ACF teams The Nutrition and Health Programme Manager is responsible for :  Evaluation of the technical skill level of the ACF teams  Identification of training needs  Skills development for ACF staff in his/her programme  Ensuring the quality and pertinence of training programmes established for the ACF teams Mission 3: Training and managing the programme team The Nutrition and Health Programme Manager is responsible for :  The twice yearly assessment of the skills and performance of the ACF teams in his/her programme  The management of his/her teams (leadership, monitoring, motivation....) Mission 4: Develop and direct operations The Nutrition and Health Programme Manager is responsible for :  Proposing a strategy for addressing the problem of malnutrition which is adapted to the local context  Timely and high quality implementation of planned activities within his/her programme and alerting the Field Coordinator to any delays or excessive or under-use of resources  Timely and high quality reporting, both internal and external, of the activities of his/her programme, together with a critical analysis  Identifying and proposing the development of new programmes  Writing the nutritional and medical sections of proposals for new activities in his/her zone  Contributing to the design and implementation of sectorial advocacy activities in collaboration with the Nutrition and Health HoD Mission 5: Represent ACF and develop local partnerships The Nutrition and Health Programme Manager is responsible for :  The professional standing of ACF in his/her geographical area  The distribution to partners of information collected locally  Respect for the principles and values of ACF in its relations with partners  The quality of relations with partners Employment conditions:  National Position  Definite contract  Availability: As soon as possible  Remuneration according to ACF remuneration grid Applicants have to submit a written application: - SPECIFY the position to which you are applying - with a CV, a cover letter and copies of certificates attached - including 2 references Addressed to: Head of Administration, ACF, 15 Street Sinkor, Monrovia By October 26th 2014, 5:00PM The short list for the selected applicants will be posted on the bulletin board.
