About UN Women Liberia: With over seven years managing programming in Liberia, UN Women leads the United Nations Country Team on Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. In line with the implementation of the UN One Programme in Liberia, UN Women will begin implementation of a new strategic plan in 2014, supporting gender equality priorities in the Government’s Agenda for Transformation in the following impact areas: 1. Women’s leadership and political participation; 2. Women’s economic empowerment; 3. Women, peace and security; and 4. Gender responsive governance. About the Position:  The overall objective of the assignment is to produce a 15-minute documentary film on the following: Economic impact of the outbreak on women  Health risks (rejection of pregnant women) and its consequences  Stigma of women survivals
Requirements: 
Summary of Key Functions:  Develop the documentary film’s overall concept and scenario.  Interview selected interviewees for the film who will include voices of women affected, women network leaders, UN Women & Gender Ministry officials and Implementing Partners  Visit locations where people to be featured in the documentary reside  Develop the documentary script and storyboard to be used in the film.  Perform appropriate video filming and shoot interviews with those to be featured in the story.  Present a draft documentary to UN Women for comments about contents. Produce two FINAL documentaries one (15 minutes and 10 minutes) long documentary films in DVD as well as a summary promotional DVD version of 3 minutes long.  Including subtitle in English  Meeting with people to be featured in film in Bopolu City, Greenville, Sinoe County and Montserrado County (ELWA Junction Market, Duport Road Market, Nancy B. Doe Market); Description of Functions:  Submit a storyboard and script for the documentary to UN Women for approval before filming;  Present draft documentary to UN Women at the end of the field mission(s) to incorporate comments;  Produce an edited Video Recording of the scenarios captured, and the footage of the recorded stories.  Present a complete 15, 10 and 4 minute documentary film versions, and hand over 2 master copies of each version to UN Women and two extra copies with the extra footage for future usage. IV. Impact of Results  Increased understanding and visibility of the impact of the EVD situation on women and girls, capturing UN Women role and impact  Help raise consciousness and rally support for the needs of women and girls affected by the EVD crisis  Create awareness and education on ending stigma against women survivals and those affected by Ebola V. Recruitment Qualifications Education and certification: Bachelor Degree or Professional training in TV production, Mass Communications and journalism, gender reporting etc. Experience: Five years of proven experience in TV Documentary production including all related responsibilities.
